Turner Machinist / Fitter & Turner - Contract

• Operate
  conventional and/or CNC machines (lathes, milling machines, drill presses)
  
• Machine
  components to required tolerances and specifications
  
• Interpret
  engineering drawings and technical blueprints
  
• Perform
  threading, drilling, boring, and cutting operations
  
• Inspect
  finished components using measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
  
• Assemble
  mechanical components and systems
  
• Fit and
  align parts to ensure proper functioning
  
• Perform
  installations of machinery and equipment
  
• Maintain
  and repair mechanical systems
  
• Conduct
  fault finding and troubleshooting on machinery
  
• Carry out
  preventative maintenance tasks
  
• Replace
  worn or defective components
  

Requirements

• Grade
  12
  
• Trade
  Certificate: Fitter and Turner
  
• Minimum 3–5
  years experience
  
• Experience
  in: Machining (manual and/or CNC), Mechanical fitting and assembly, Industrial
  or manufacturing environments
  
• Ability to
  read and interpret technical drawings
