Role Description

FocusEconomics is a leading provider of economic intelligence reports, data solutions and a business intelligence platform for senior executives in multinational companies, financial institutions and governmental organizations. We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven business-to-business sales executive to join our commercial team in Barcelona.

Generate and qualify new leads through research, networking and social selling.
Manage automated prospecting tools (e.g. Enginy), ensuring all allocated resources are fully utilized.
Build a strong pipeline of relationships with C-level decision-makers.
Identify business drivers and match the optimal solution to each customer.
Manage full sales cycles from quoting through negotiation to close, including writing outstanding business proposals.
Convert qualified prospects into clients and grow those accounts through upsell.
Create and execute account strategies for new and existing clients.
Keep customers and prospects engaged through frequent and timely follow-up.
Work with the Customer Success Manager on the handover of accounts into managed renewal.
Forecast and monitor performance against key sales indicators.

Requirements

Requirements

Degree in Business, Economics or a related field.
3-4 years of experience in sales, preferably in a B2B environment; SaaS experience is an advantage.
Proven track record of quota-carrying sales, with the ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
Strong proficiency in written and spoken English and Spanish.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
Ability to communicate, present and influence at all levels, including executives and C-level managers.
Familiarity with Salesforce, LinkedIn and campaign platforms.
Driven, client-focused and highly motivated, with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently while staying goal-oriented.
Experience selling solutions to Fortune 500 companies is an advantage.
Knowledge of global economic developments is an advantage.
Experience using Salesforce and/other comparable CRM tools
