We are DOP. At Roche, we do now what patients need next.

The Opportunity

Are you ready to lead digital innovation and process excellence for DOP? As our Digital & Process Management Lead based in Sant Cugat, Spain, you will have an instrumental global impact on the deployment and continuous improvement of our processes, systems, and underlying data. This newly created role combines elements of previous teams to significantly increase organizational scale and impact within the Diagnostics Global Operations transformation (“FOM”).

  • Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Head of Procurement Center of Excellence and is part of the wider Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE).

  • Wider team and stakeholders: Interacts frequently with ASPIRE Program Leadership, the Diagnostics Procurement Leadership Team (DPLT), Category Management, Delivery, and RSS Demand to Pay. You will also represent DOP as the “Business Owner” in the strategic D2P Business Owner Community.

  • Role Type: A senior leadership role, balancing strategic and tactical responsibilities, directing a global team of up to 15 professionals (including Digital Enablement Managers, Business Process Experts, and ASPIRE Deployment resources).

  • Impact: You will drive a high-performance culture, transform challenges into opportunities, and unlock the potential of your team. Specifically, you are accountable for:

    • Digitalization & Innovation: Identifying, planning, and executing digitalization initiatives (e.g., process automation, tool deployment). You will orchestrate relevant stakeholders, develop business cases, drive user adoption, and benchmark digital procurement capabilities.

    • Global Initiatives (ASPIRE & iCollab): Representing DOP in the Roche-wide ASPIRE transformation program (D2P stream). You are accountable for delivering project milestones, leading end-to-end process design, and transitioning successfully into the sustain organization.

    • Business Process Management: Managing the D2P process landscape within DOP. You will collaborate with the Global Business Process Owner to develop specificities, ensure compliant execution, and collect feedback for continuous improvement.

    • Financial Scope: Maintaining oversight and working within the GRP budgets provided for various multi-year initiatives (ASPIRE, iCollab, FOM Integration).

    • Talent Leadership: Coaching and developing a global team, ensuring cultural awareness, and fostering an environment of psychological safety to achieve ambitious divisional goals.

Who you are

We look for an authentic, courageous, and transformational leader who is a true "systems thinker"—someone who can navigate complexity, manage competing priorities, and craft integrated solutions that drive efficiency.

  • Education: A University degree is required, with a focus on business or life sciences highly preferable. A Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) and professional purchasing certifications (e.g., CIPS) are preferred.

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in Procurement, with at least 3–5 years specifically in a process improvement and systems deployment environment, plus 3–5 years in Business Process Management.

  • Technical & Digital Expertise: In-depth understanding of the Procurement/D2P process landscape and procurement technology service providers. You have proven proficiency in navigating ERP systems (SAP), BI tools (Tableau, ThoughtSpot), and translating in-depth spend analytics into actionable insights.

  • AI & Digitalization: You have a strong affinity to explore AI-driven solutions broadly, particularly regarding the digital transformation of operations (Digital 2.0 / Industry 4.0), and encourage your team to achieve advanced knowledge in AI applications.

  • Process Mindset: You bring a strong "Process-first" thinking style and a Lean and/or Six Sigma mindset.

  • Communication & Change Management: Proven ability to drive proactive stakeholder and change management. You excel at conflict resolution, end-to-end process design collaboration, and presenting performance indicators to senior leadership.

  • Languages: Business-level fluency in English is strictly required; German language skills are desirable.

Ready for the next step? We look forward to hearing from you.
