Facility and Asset Manager

Ventia is hiring a Facility and Asset Manager to help deliver essential facilities management services across South Australia as part of the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA).

The AGFMA supports more than 5,000 government-owned sites across 48 South Australian agencies, including schools, health sites, courts, police stations and community facilities. These assets play a vital role in delivering essential services to the public every day.

About the Role
In this permanent full-time position, you’ll take ownership of a defined portfolio of sites, ensuring they remain safe, functional, and compliant. Based primarily out of the Murray Bridge office, you’ll cover the Murray Mallee and Fleurieu Peninsula regions of South Australia within AGFMA’s Education portfolio. This role will require regular travel for site management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.

You’ll be responsible for managing planned and reactive maintenance, supporting the delivery of minor works projects under $150k, and working closely with subcontractors, government agencies, and internal Ventia teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with agencies, subcontractors and internal teams.


• Manage planned and reactive maintenance across allocated sites.


• Conduct site inspections, audits and close out corrective actions.


• Coordinate minor projects under $150k, including progress checks and documentation.


• Support work order management, variations and subcontractor queries.


• Ensure services meet AGFMA KPIs, compliance and safety requirements.


• Maintain accurate asset records, plans and reporting.

What We’re Looking For - Skills & Experience

• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.


• Experience in facilities management, trades, asset maintenance or commercial real estate.


• Trade or property/FM related qualifications. (desirable)


• Project coordination or project management experience. (desirable)


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously.


• Current driver’s licence. 


• Hold a current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willing to obtain as part of the pre-employment checks).
