IT Support Assistant (Junior)

This is a ground -level IT support role that can be carried out largely remotely. However, applicants must live in or around Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and be able to reach our office promptly to providehands -on maintenance and support when needed.

We are looking for someone to monitor our systems, handle first -line support requests from the team,and attend to hardware in person when required — including routine tasks such as restarting servers and workstations.

You'll work closely with, and learn directly from, our Head of IT (Pipeline Engineer) and VP of Creative Operations. This is a genuine opportunity to grow your skills in a real production environment —you don't need years of experience, just solid fundamentals, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

What you'll do

• Provide local IT support, working remotely day to day and attending the Las Palmas office whenon -site work is needed
  
• Monitor servers, render nodes, and workstations, and flag or escalate issues promptly
  
• Physically attend to machines when required — restarting, power -cycling, checking hardware,swapping cables and peripherals
  
• Provide first -line (Tier 1) support to artists and staff for everyday IT issues
  
• Support Data I/O — receiving, ingesting, and delivering data to and from clients and third -partyvendors
  
• Carry out remotely directed tasks on behalf of the Head of IT
  
• Help set up and configure workstations and peripherals for new and existing team members
  
• Keep basic equipment and asset records up to date
  
• Escalate anything beyond first -line to the Head of IT
  

Requirements

• Based in or around Las Palmas de Gran Canaria — close enough to reach the office quickly whenon -site support is required
  
• Foundational understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking — formal experience is a plus but not required if the fundamentals are there
  
• Comfortable working with both Windows and Linux (Red Hat)
  
• Reliable, proactive, and a clear communicator
  
• Working English; Spanish is a strong advantage for the local environment.
  
• Available to start immediately
  
• Comfortable being reachable and, on occasion, attending to a critical issue outside standard hours
  

Nice to have (not essential)

• Any experience or interest in media, VFX, animation, or post -production environments
  
• Familiarity with render farms, file servers, or production pipelines
  
• Networking basics (switches, IP, basic troubleshooting)
