Junior Accountant Payable - EY GDS Spain - Hybrid

The opportunity

As part of the EY GDS Core Business Services (CBS) team in Málaga, you will join a diverse and high-performing group supporting the firm’s operations. Within Finance, and integrated into the Accounts Payable function, you will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across financial processes, while actively contributing to the function’s transformation towards automation and data-driven operations.

Your key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end processing of supplier invoices in workflow tools and SAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance


• Record and monitor provisions, accruals and reclassifications


• Perform Accounts Payable reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies


• Maintain and update vendor master data in coordination with central teams


• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely delivery


• Review and process employee expenses, including re-invoicing to clients where applicable


• Prepare and submit regular financial reports to central finance teams


• Support external and internal audits, as well as tax inspections

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Minimum 6 months of experience in an accounting role, ideally within Accounts Payable


• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Vocational training in Finance and Administration


• Solid understanding of Local GAAP, tax frameworks and regulatory requirements


• English level: Upper-intermediate (B2–C1)


• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)


• Strong Excel skills (data handling, analysis, reporting)

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Good knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot


•  Experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate, to support process automation and workflow optimization
