Product Assurance Engineer - IRIS2

Hispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states.

To be part of this project, we are looking for Product Assurance Engineer. The responsibilities of the position are as follows:

• Define, implement and monitor Product Assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with customer, contractual and quality requirements.


• Establish, implement and continuously improve the Product Assurance and quality processes deployed in the project.


• Conduct quality reviews, audits and inspections to verify that processes, products and deliverables meet established standards and programme objectives.


• Manage non-conformances, waivers, deviations and corrective actions, ensuring effective resolution and continuous improvement.


• Support design, verification, validation and qualification activities, providing Product Assurance oversight and compliance assessments.


• Coordinate with engineering teams, suppliers and customers to ensure quality, reliability, traceability and risk-management requirements are fully addressed.


• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations, including ECSS, ISO 9001 and customer-specific Product Assurance requirements.


• Prepare and maintain Product Assurance documentation, evidence and associated project deliverables.

• Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.


• At least 5 years of relevant experience.


• Hands-on experience in Product Assurance or Quality Assurance tasks within complex engineering projects.


• Experience establishing and implementing quality processes.


• Knowledge, through training or experience, of applicable quality frameworks and standards, including ECSS and ISO 9001.


• Experience conducting quality reviews, audits and inspections.


• Experience managing non-conformances, waivers, deviations and corrective actions.


• Experience supporting design, verification, validation and qualification activities.


• Experience working with classified information is considered an asset.


• Nationality of an EU Member State and willingness to undergo an EU Secret clearance process.


• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; any other European language is considered an asset.
