In 2025, we generated almost $28 billion in sales and we served customers in more than 160 countries.\n\nWe make what matters work.\n\nEATON is hiring an\n\n## Software Configuration Engineer\n\nThis is a hybrid position based in the Netherlands (Amsterdam), Poland (Warsaw) or Spain (Madrid, Barcelona or Zaragoza)\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nAs a Software Configuration Engineer, you will support software\u2011based projects across EMEA, working closely with Sales, Project Management, and Engineering teams from pre\u2011sales through deployment and support.\n\n * Support Sales teams during pre\u2011sales by helping define and clarify the technical scope of software solutions such as EPMS, SCADA, DCIM, and Energy Management Systems.\n * Contribute to the preparation of budgetary and binding proposals, including system architecture, topology drawings, hardware BOMs, schedules, and solution descriptions.\n * Produce, review, and validate engineering documentation in line with project requirements and Eaton standards.\n * Support software deployment and testing activities, including on\u2011site work when required.\n * Work with Project Management and Sales to support scope changes, identify technical risks, and contribute to mitigation actions.\n * Collaborate with Eaton technical teams and third\u2011party partners to deliver project engineering outputs.\n * Handle escalated Level 3 software support requests within the defined area of responsibility.\n * Deliver technical presentations and support customer meetings, solution promotion, and training activities.\n * Contribute to continuous improvement and standardisation of engineering processes and tools within the System Integration Services team.\n * Participate in ongoing professional development, including safety and technical training.\n * Travel as required for customer meetings, site visits, and project execution.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications and skills:\n\n * University degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Power Management, Automation, or a related discipline.\n * Several years of hands\u2011on engineering experience with power management systems, ideally within data centre or critical infrastructure environments.\n * Working knowledge of power distribution systems, including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, and EPMS / DCIM solutions.\n * Experience with power system automation software and energy or infrastructure management systems.\n * Basic knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, network infrastructure, IEDs, and control logic is an advantage.\n * Strong collaboration and communication skills, with professional working proficiency in English.\n * Structured, solution\u2011oriented approach to resolving technical issues.\n * Ability to work effectively in international and cross\u2011functional project teams.\n * Good prioritisation skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.\n * High level of integrity, accountability, and a proactive \u201ccan\u2011do\u201d mindset.\n * Strong safety awareness, with the confidence to stop unsafe activities when required.\n\n\n\n## What we offer:\n\n * Competitive compensation and benefits package\n * Flexible working solutions\n * Excellent working environment \u2013 safety and ethics are important for us\n * Culture \u0026 Values \u2013 we are more than the products we invent and produce \u2013 the way we do business is just as important.
