Job Description

Job title: Summer Camp Language Teacher (Spanish & English)
Reporting to: Camp Director
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and
expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All post holders are subject to appropriate
vetting procedures and satisfactory Criminal Background Checks or equivalent covering the previous 10
years employment history. We will also request satisfactory references covering previous employment.
Location: Laude San Pedro International College, Marbella
Duration: July (5 weeks)
Working Hours: 08:30 – 14:30, Monday to Friday
Remuneration: €400 per week (Lunch included)
JOB SUMMARY
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join our international summer
camp team and deliver engaging English and/or Spanish language lessons to children aged 7–15.
As a Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering dynamic, interactive language classes that
are fun, communicative, and tailored to a range of levels. You will help students build confidence in
speaking, listening, reading, and writing through creative, activity-based learning.
Working alongside the Camp Director and activity team, you will also support the wider camp programme,
helping to create a positive, inclusive, and energetic environment throughout the summer. Teachers who
can deliver both English and Spanish lessons will be highly valued.
This role is ideal for motivated, creative educators who enjoy working with children and are passionate
about language learning in a fun, immersive setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching & Lesson Delivery
Plan and deliver engaging English and/or Spanish lessons for children aged 7–15.
Use interactive, communicative teaching methods focused on speaking and participation.
Adapt lessons to different ability levels and learning styles within mixed groups.
Incorporate games, role-play, songs, storytelling, and group activities into lessons.
Learning Support & Progress
Encourage students to build confidence in using the language in real-life contexts.
Monitor student engagement and progress, providing positive feedback and encouragement.
Support students with varying levels of ability, ensuring all learners are included and challenged
appropriately.
Classroom Management
Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment.
Ensure lessons are well-organised, safe, and engaging at all times.

Promote respectful behaviour and active participation from all students.
Collaboration & Camp Support
Work closely with Activity Coordinators and Assistants to integrate language learning into wider camp
activities.
Support the overall camp programme when needed, including excursions and special events.
Contribute to a positive team culture and the overall success of the summer camp experience.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
Experience teaching English and/or Spanish to children or young learners
Confident leading classroom activities and managing groups aged 7–15
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Energetic, creative, and able to make learning fun and engaging
Ability to adapt teaching style to different levels and abilities
Reliable, responsible, and professional attitude
Legal right to work in Spain and relevant documentation
Must currently live in the Marbella area or have accommodation arranged (housing is not provided)
Desirable
TEFL, CELTA, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
Ability to teach both English and Spanish (strong advantage)
Previous experience in summer camps, international schools, or language academies
Basic knowledge of Spanish (for English teachers) or English (for Spanish teachers)
Experience using games-based or communicative language teaching methods
