Temporary Teacher of Economics

ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College Soto de Viñuelas is seeking a committed and dynamic Economics Teacher to join our team from September on a long-term temporary basis (duración de varios meses). The successful candidate will teach Economics across GCSE, A Level, and IB programmes within a high-achieving, international school environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach Economics across GCSE, A Level, and IB Diploma Programme classes


• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with curriculum requirements


• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies


• Provide constructive feedback to support student achievement and progress


• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources


• Maintain high standards of classroom management and student engagement

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Degree in Economics or a closely related subject


• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent international certification)


• Experience teaching GCSE, A Level, and/or IB Economics (minimum one or more of these essential)


• Strong understanding of international curricula and assessment frameworks


• Excellent classroom management and communication skills


• Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities


• High level of English proficiency (spoken and written); additional languages (especially Spanish) are an advantage
