VFX Editor - IO

The Role

The VFX Editor / IO manages the data flow. You are responsible for ingestion, conform, color pipeline management, and final client deliveries. You ensure that what the artists work on matches the editorial cut frame -for -frame.

Key Responsibilities

• Ingest & Turnover: Process incoming plates from the client, checking for technical errors, and organizing them on the server.
  

• Conform: Maintain an up -to -date edit in Hiero, matching the client's latest offline reference.
  

• Color Management: Ensure correct color space transformations (OCIO/ACES) are applied throughout the pipeline.
  

• Deliveries: Create final delivery packages (QuickTimes, EXRs, DPX) according to strict client specs.
  

• Dailies Gen: Generate review QuickTimes for internal and client reviews.
  

What You Bring 

• Editorial Tools: Proficiency in Hiero.
  

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of codecs, frame rates, resolutions, and LUTs.
  

• Scripting: Basic knowledge of Python for renaming scripts or automation is a huge plus.
  

• Attention to Detail: An obsessive nature regarding file naming conventions and folder structures.

• Experience with ShotGrid API integrations.
