Design Director

We are looking for a Design Director, who is convinced that strategic design can create real business value when based on profound human insights and future scenarios. The role is based at our Stockholm office, but you will work internationally with colleagues and clients.

The role

The Design Director role is vivid and variable. We work in close collaboration with clients in our projects, and you will work together with a team of strategic, creative and analytic experts.

Your primary job is to direct creative development, ensuring the highest possible standards from start to client delivery. Besides being a brand identity design expert, we either see that you have UI/UX/CX experience, or that you are a skilled motion designer.

Key responsibilities

• Senior role working as a holistic design resource in client projects and pitches.


• Translate strategic objectives and brand strategies into clear creative strategies. 
  


• Manage and lead the creative process from concept to completion. 
  


• Review work and provide feedback to creatives involved in client projects.
  


• Internal responsibility to direct and educate more junior designers and interns.
  


• Identify and act on opportunities for design and brand identity work in client projects, and actively work with sales and pitches in collaboration with other senior Lynxeye colleagues.
  


• Execute a high level of craftsmanship and aesthetics across all design disciplines.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need a high level of understanding of brand strategy and have the ability to comfortably move across creative disciplines, including interaction, print, and spatial. We believe you are highly experienced working with stakeholder management, and that you thrive working with a variety of clients for shorter projects, as well as one client for longer periods of time. At times, you may also work independently on smaller projects.

• Higher education within Visual communication, Graphic Design, Brand Communication, Brand Design, UI/UX, Motion Design or similar.


• 10+ years of creative experience, preferably including international work with global brands and sales processes. 


• Relevant experience working with the craftsmanship of design and brand identity. Including logotype design, typography, color management, imagery, illustrations and guidelines. 


• Highly proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign etc.


• Ability to create excellent motion graphics in tools such as After Effects or Cinema 4D, or, you have experience working with UI/UX/CX.


• Business proficient in written and spoken Swedish and English.

In this role, you would likely work with one of our larger clients in Asia. Therefore, it is considered a plus if you are able to travel to Asia a few times a year.
