KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
IT–OT Operations Leadership
- Lead and manage the technical team supporting SEB Power on IT-OT related matters, providing direction, prioritisation, and oversight to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing operations.
- Lead primary support for Generation OT Network, Generation Control Center Network, OT Private Cloud system, and alternative support to the other IT-OT systems.
- Accountable for operation enforcement, monitoring and compliance OT Security aligned to International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 62443 standards
- Collaborate with the business to ensure OT security requirements are implemented, monitored and sustained in operations.
IT–OT System Governance & Assurance
- Establish and enforce governance of IT–OT integration in production environment including clear definition, documentation, and governance of all interfaces between OT and external networks.
- Provide technical oversight of data communication architectures in operations across OT and IT systems, ensuring secure technology selection, data flows, and system interoperability.
- Establish and maintain clear ownership and accountability structure for IT equipment, systems and applications in the OT environment.
- Ensure completeness and integrity of asset registers containing information on all IT equipment and applications.
Operations, Lifecycle Management & Incident Response
- Lead and coordinate secure lifecycle management activities, including system upgrades, patching, and deployment of IT security technologies within OT environments. Owns the final acceptance authority for service transition from engineering.
- Lead technical assurance (service transition or operational readiness) in projects involving IT–OT systems, ensuring security, reliability, and operational requirements are met prior to handover to operations.
- Lead the implementation of security controls, monitoring performance and initiating corrective actions where gaps or risks are identified.
- Ensure IT–OT related security incidents are resolved in a timely manner, with root cause analysis, and improvement plan.
- Ensure Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness and resilience for IT–OT systems, including regular updates to recovery plans, coordination of testing activities, and continuous enhancement of recovery capabilities
- Champion continuous improvement of operational stability, resilience, and efficiency in accordance with company priorities and operational requirements.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
- Serve as the key technical liaison across IT, OT, vendors, and business units, ensuring alignment, effective communication, and timely resolution of cross-domain issues.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a multi-disciplinary IT–OT technical team, fostering collaboration across IT and OT domains and strengthening technical capabilities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational priorities, aligning IT–OT capabilities with evolving business and operational needs.
CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:
- Managing complex, mission-critical IT–OT environments, where system reliability, cyber security, and operational continuity must be balanced under strict performance requirements.
- Ensuring secure and stable IT–OT convergence, addressing challenges arising from legacy OT systems, evolving cyber threats, and integration with modern IT technologies.
- Providing timely and effective incident response and technical resolution, while maintaining system integrity and minimising impact to power generation operations.
- Navigating multi-stakeholder environments, coordinating across IT, OT, vendors, and business teams with differing priorities and technical perspectives.
- Maintaining compliance with cyber security standards and regulatory expectations while ensuring practical and operationally viable implementations.
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in telecommunications, computer network, engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in telecommunications, computer network or equivalent.
- Strong experience in OT environments and industrial systems, including control systems, OT networks, and related operational technologies
- Proven experience or certification in server/desktop infrastructure, networks including firewalls, routers and switches or hosting/storage infrastructure for production systems.
- Experienced in network or hosting/storage infrastructure /control systems.
- Experienced in asset inventory management systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, backup systems, disaster recovery Services is highly desired.
- Experienced in OT DMZ Services and associated services like anti-virus updates, WSUS Patching Service and Process Control Domain Portal services.
