Orkla Snacks is on an ambitious journey to transform the way we work, and as part of this, we are implementing SAP S/4HANA to enable more standardized, efficient, and future-ready processes across our organization. To make this happen we are expanding our Packaging team.

Your Role and Impact

As a Packaging Developer, you will play a key role in ensuring that our snack products are delivered with high-quality, efficient, and sustainable packaging solutions. You will be responsible for executing technical packaging requirements and supporting development projects across the snacks category. Your work will directly contribute to product quality, cost efficiency, innovation, and sustainability ambitions, while ensuring packaging specifications meet both operational and design expectations.

Main Responsibilities

• Support successful delivery of packaging development projects, including implementation of new packaging specifications


• Monitor packaging performance, quality, and cost efficiency; identify opportunities for improvement and optimization


• Contribute to packaging initiatives and innovation projects within the snacks category


• Develop and propose packaging solutions with focus on cost savings, quality improvement, and harmonization


• Validate packaging changes and ensure compliance with specifications


• Maintain and update packaging documentation, including recipes, materials, and process specifications


• Support factory trials, sensory testing, and consumer testing in collaboration with Supply Chain


• Actively support packaging-related sustainability objectives


• Monitor packaging technology trends among suppliers and competitors

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a technically strong and curious professional who is passionate about packaging development and innovation. You bring a structured and detail-oriented approach, thrive in a dynamic environment, and enjoy solving complex challenges under time pressure. With a strong interest in materials, sustainability, and new technologies, you contribute to continuous improvement while collaborating effectively across teams.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Material Science, Technology, or a related field


• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience


• Experience working with technical specifications and detailed execution


• Basic understanding of food technology, materials, and sustainability in relevant categories


• Experience with IT tools (e.g. product or packaging systems such as Dragonfly)


• Project management experience


•  Knowledge of packaging structures, materials, and manufacturing processes

• Ability to manage change effectively


• Good decision-making skills

Other Requirements:

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)


• Fluency in Swedish (written and spoken)


• Proficiency in Norwegian is an advantage


• Willingness to travel occasionally
