Your role

We are looking for a Quality Director for Saab Kockums Business Unit Submarines. You will be part of the business unit’s management team and have an overall responsibility for quality and associated activities and continuously drive our business and operations towards quality excellence. Beyond this you will take an important role to inspire teams across the business unit organization as well as other parts of the Kockums organization in creating and delivering excellent quality submarines and related products and services. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing processes and licenses in cooperation with other parts of the organization.

Main tasks:

• Manage and develop the quality function. The quality function is under development and there are great opportunities for setting good standards for future operations.
• Coordinate the quality work within the business unit and other stakeholders to ensure that each part of the organization is reaching necessary quality standards ensuring high quality products for our customers.
• Collaborate with the quality functions of our customers, playing a significant role in our efforts to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Support and coordinate the development of processes, methods and tools across the organization to drive continuous improvement.

Your Profile

You have a good understanding and experience of Quality Management as well as development and production of complex products. You are an experienced leader, great at connecting, collaborating, and building relationships that stick. In order to succeed you need to have a proactive mindset and as a person you are engaged in your responsibilities with the drive to reach desired results. In addition, you consider yourself to be business driven and engaged in continuous improvements and learning in our operations by creating engagement and inspiring teams.

Required skills:

• Extensive experience in Quality Engineering and Quality Management in large-scale organizations, covering both development and production of complex products.
• Proven leadership skills managing teams within and outside your own organization.
• Excellent ability to build and manage relationships and cooperate and engage internal or external teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written
• Experience of carrying out external and internal audits
• Knowledge and understanding of regulated processes for high quality products with high safety standards.

Desired skills:

• Experience in Naval shipbuilding.

You report to Head of Business Unit Submarines and will work from one of our offices in Lund or Karlskrona. Frequent travel between these sites can be expected.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
