Introduction

We are looking for a Financial Accountant, part time (60%) to support the accounting department for a temporary replacement of 10 months. The role is based in Stockholm, with easy transportation access.We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance accounting department on a part-time basis (60%) for a 10-month temporary assignment, covering for an employee on leave. The position is based in Stockholm, in a location with convenient public transportation access.

Where will you work? 

In Sweden, SomnoMed’s business consists of the sales and marketing of SomnoMed's range of products for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea in the field of sleep related breathing disorders and dental sleep medicine. As a Financial Accountant, you will be part of an experienced small finance team and report to Finance and Location Manager Nordic. This role will work closely with the local Operational teams (Customer service and Lab Operations, Sales & Marketing). 

Our Finance  team is based in Stockholm office and covers all finance administrative and accounting related matters of business across Nordic region of SomnoMed.

What will you do as a Financial Accountant?

1. Finance Operations and Reporting

• Primarily responsible for accuracy of the accounts, including daily operations (Bookkeeping: A/P - A/R, Bank Payments, and Bank Reconciliations)


• invoices: Ensuring invoices are properly approved and coded in the general ledger.


• Reporting and analysis: contribute to the production of financial reporting and analysis to guide decision-making.


• Expenses: Handling expenses process, control, and payment

2. Financial Control

• Accounting: Ensure provisions are appropriately accrued and justified, payments and bank are timely reconciled, A/R - A/P, depreciation, stocks, assets, etc. are appropriately handled.


• Cash flow management: work closely with Finance and location manager to efficiently monitor and balance cash flows into and out of a business.


• Treasury: work closely with Finance and location manager to manage, anticipate (cash flow forecast) cash availability at country level to ensure all needs are anticipated and met

3. Financial Planning and Analysis

• Using business acumen, ERP and BI tools, to support all departments with commercial, financial / business modelling and analysis, creating and assessing KPIs and projects


• Participates to budget tracking


• Assessing CAPEX and OPEX requests, purchase orders, etc.


• Develop and maintain analysis tools that shall help executive leaders in their decision making

Job Requirements

• A business or bachelor's degree in business administration, and/or accounting


• 3-4 years of relevant work experience


• Knowledge and experience working with data and Excel


• Analytical, details focus and critical business thinking


• Fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English.
