About the Opportunity

A well-established Swiss organisation is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Consultant to strengthen its security consulting capability in Bern. 

This is a broad advisory position for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, risk and business. You’ll support organisations with complex security challenges, helping them assess their existing environments, establish appropriate security frameworks and translate requirements into practical improvements.

The position offers considerable variety across security strategy, risk, architecture and technical consulting, with the opportunity to take ownership of customer engagements and contribute to the development of new security services.

Main Responsibilities

• Advise organisations on cybersecurity strategy, governance and security management


• Assess existing IT environments and identify vulnerabilities, risks and areas for improvement


• Develop technical and architectural security concepts based on business requirements


• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and recommend appropriate countermeasures


• Support the implementation and continued development of security policies, processes and controls


• Work with established frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST and CIS Controls


• Advise stakeholders on the security implications of new technologies and architectural decisions


• Contribute to the development of new cybersecurity services and consulting solutions


• Manage multiple customer engagements and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders

Your Profile

• At least 2–3 years of professional experience within Cyber Security Consulting, Security Advisory or IT/Security Audit


• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27001/27002, NIST CSF or CIS Controls


• Experience conducting security risk assessments and developing technical security concepts


• Good understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, architecture and cybersecurity controls


• Relevant education within Computer Science, Information Security or a comparable discipline


• Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a structured approach to problem solving


• Confident working directly with customers and communicating complex security topics clearly


• Independent, quality-focused and interested in emerging cybersecurity technologies


• Fluent German and good English
