Data Engineering Consultant (Zurich, Switzerland)

In this role, you will advise our clients on the design and implementation of scalable cloud data platforms and AI solutions. You will translate business requirements into robust data architectures, shape data models, and contribute hands-on to the development of modern data pipelines using platforms such as Databricks or Microsoft Fabric. Based in our Zurich office, you will work with your team to provide our clients with the high quality and reliability we are known for.

Your tasks will include:

• Analysis of business and technical requirements
• Design and implementation of robust data architectures, pipelines, and platform components in close collaboration with client and project teams
• Contribution to data & AI initiatives across cloud architecture, data engineering, data science, and generative AI
• Communication of recommendations, insights, and results to senior stakeholders and management

What you bring:

• At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Domain knowledge in at least one industry
• A highly analytical and structured mindset, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and convincingly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English (both mandatory)
• 3+ years of proven experience in data engineering including data modelling (Data Vault and dimensional modelling) and hands-on ETL/ELT and pipeline development
• Hands-on experience with Databricks or Microsoft Fabric, dbt, and Azure, including solid data warehousing fundamentals, SQL, and Python
