Intertek Government and Trade Services helps governments, customs authorities, and standards organizations ensure that imported goods meet international safety and quality standards. We help protect the public and the environment from non-compliant products, secure import duties, and ensure smooth customs clearance and international trade.
For a position in German-speaking Switzerland, We are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector (m/f/d/x) to join our team as soon as possible on a 20–40% basis. The position is offered on a self-employed, independent contractor basis with compensation at an hourly rate.
Your Responsibilities
- Conducting visual quality inspections of goods, materials, and shipments to identify defects, damage, or deviations
- Taking product samples in accordance with specified inspection requirements
- Verifying quantities, batches, and piece counts based on the provided documentation
- Documenting inspection results using specified checklists and creating comprehensive photographic documentation
- Conducting inspections at suppliers’, customers’, or transit locations within the assigned region
- Ensuring compliance with internal quality, safety, and inspection standards
Your Profile
- Education or degree in a science-related field (e.g., chemistry, biology, or a comparable discipline)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to undertake regular regional business trips
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
- Good IT user skills
- Strong observational skills, high attention to detail, and an independent and structured approach to work
- High commitment to quality, a strong sense of responsibility, and integrity
