Experienced, professional Rota Nanny required

On behalf of our partner agency in Switzerland we seek applications for a professional housekeeper job:

Mies, Switzerland

A private family residing in Mies, Switzerland (Canton of Vaud) is seeking an experienced, dependable and well-organised and highly professional Housekeeper to oversee the daily management and maintenance of their home.

The household comprises two adults and three children, and the family already employs a nanny.

Position Details

• Full-time role

• 5 working days per week with 2 consecutive days off

• Working hours to be arranged in line with the family's requirements

• Official Swiss employment contract

Key Responsibilities

• Managing all housekeeping duties and the day-to-day upkeep of the property

• Cleaning and maintaining the residence to an excellent standard

• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management

• Ensuring the kitchen remains clean, tidy and well stocked

• Preparing simple meals for the family when required

• Grocery shopping and purchasing household essentials

• Monitoring household supplies and proactively replenishing stock

• Accepting deliveries and coordinating access for household contractors and service providers

• Noticing maintenance concerns and ensuring they are reported and followed through

• Maintaining an organised household and supporting the smooth daily operation of the home

• Communicating with the family and nanny regarding household needs and priorities

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience working within a private household is essential; experience with UHNW families is highly desirable

• Excellent housekeeping and household management abilities

• Good cooking skills, with the confidence to prepare straightforward family meals

• Highly organised, proactive and able to anticipate the family's requirements

• Discreet, trustworthy, reliable and adaptable

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness

• Comfortable working independently and taking full responsibility for household duties

• Valid driving licence preferred

• Checkable references (for similar, recent jobs)

• Clean police record (up to date)

• Valid documentation permitting legal employment in Switzerland

Location

• Candidates should ideally be based within approximately 40–45 minutes of Mies, taking commuting time into account.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary dependent on experience and overall profile

• Official Swiss employment contract

• Full compliance with Swiss employment legislation

As there are no other permanent household staff members employed within the home, the successful candidate must be self-sufficient, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of the overall organisation and smooth running of the household.

Requirements

Verifiable previous experience

Good references for recent and relevant jobs

Up to date criminal history check certificate

Prove your right to work in Switzerland, by showing your valid EU/Swiss passport

Be available long term

Driver preferred but not a requirement

Please note this is a strictly non-smoking position
