Job Description - Senior Business Analyst IT Trading

Your Responsibilities:

Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional specifications.

Ensure that the identified requirements are mapped and traceable throughout the project lifecycle.

Facilitate communication between the IT team and business stakeholders, ensuring that the needs and constraints of both entities are respected and considered.

Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement or optimization.

Develop and propose process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and functionality.

Validate that system functionalities meet defined requirements through user acceptance testing (UAT).

Ensure data quality and integrity across systems and reports.

Ensure that IT projects and systems are in compliance with relevant regulatory standards and company policies.

Develop and deliver training to end-users on new systems, features, and processes.

Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting, acting as a liaison between users and technical teams.

Continually optimize trading systems and platforms to ensure they are efficient, reliable, and support business objectives.

Your Skills:

Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering, or a related field

Experience on project or product management and software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, DevOps)

Extensive knowledge and experience in the energy trading sector, understanding key trading principles, market dynamics, and regulatory environments.

Familiarity with various energy commodities (e.g., oil, gas, electricity) and their respective trading mechanisms.

Knowledge on data analysis tools and languages.

Experience with trading platforms, ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) systems, and other related IT applications.

In particular, 5-10 years of experience with Orchestrade.

Fluent in English; competency in German and French is advantageous
