Location: Zurich, hybrid

Utilization: 100%



We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel for a global private bank in Switzerland. The Senior Legal Counsel will play a crucial role in advising on regulatory matters related to cross-border banking, as well as in the transaction structuring for credit and financing agreements. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Legal and General Counsel.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a legal advisor to the private bank and coordinate closely with the Head of Legal and General Counsel

  • Provide legal advice on cross-border banking matters

  • Engage as a legal advisor to support in scoping and structuring credit and financing agreements for both corporate and private clients

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of associated regulations and legal requirements related to the private bank's business practices

     


YOUR PROFILE:

  • Senior Legal Counsel with 7-10 years of experience; proven experience in private banking is essential for this role

  • Experience in advising on legal risks related to cross-border banking practices, particularly in sophisticated credit and financing agreements structured in Switzerland or Luxembourg

  • Excellent drafting and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail

  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal; German language skills would be beneficial

  • Must be highly organized and efficient, with the ability to drive projects and deliver against set timelines

  • High-quality collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment
