About the Opportunity

An established Swiss technology company is looking for a Senior Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer to join its growing team in Zurich.

This is a varied engineering role combining modern Microsoft cloud technologies with complex hybrid infrastructure. You'll have considerable technical responsibility, working across customer environments and helping to design and deliver solutions rather than focusing purely on day-to-day operations.

The company has offices across several of Switzerland's major German-speaking cantons, providing the opportunity to collaborate with experienced technology teams across the country.

You'll join an engineering environment where technical ideas are encouraged and there is plenty of scope to continue developing across the Microsoft ecosystem.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and deliver modern Microsoft infrastructure solutions across cloud and hybrid environments


• Take technical ownership of customer platforms and engineering topics


• Work extensively with Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Windows Server technologies


• Support the development and modernisation of virtualised and hybrid infrastructure


• Translate technical and business requirements into practical solutions


• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and deliver long-term improvements


• Contribute to technical workshops, projects and infrastructure changes


• Collaborate with engineering, architecture and delivery specialists


• Share knowledge and contribute to technical standards across the wider team

Your Profile

• Several years of experience within Microsoft infrastructure or systems engineering


• Strong knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Windows Server


• Experience with virtualisation, storage and hybrid environments


• Comfortable working across technically complex infrastructure


• Confident communicating with customers and technical stakeholders


• Microsoft certifications are advantageous but not essential


• Structured, independent and solution-oriented approach


• Fluent German and good English
