Senior Risk Manager (50%)

The Employer

Our client is a well-established independent asset management firm based in Switzerland, serving a sophisticated international client base. As the sole Risk Manager, reporting directly to the Deputy CEO, you will take ownership of the firm's risk management framework and ensure the effective execution of risk controls across the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and maintaining the firm's enterprise-wide risk framework covering operational, investment, financial, strategic and reputational risks.
  


• Performing regular risk monitoring and controls in accordance with internal policies and Swiss regulatory requirements.
  


• Reviewing and maintaining the firm's risk matrix and ensuring adequate documentation.
  


• Monitoring key risk indicators and reporting findings to senior management.
  


• Ensuring the effectiveness of existing automated controls and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  


• Liaising with internal stakeholders to promote a strong risk culture across the business.
  


• Supporting regulatory reviews and internal governance processes where required.
  

Requirements

• Significant experience in Risk Management within private banking, asset management or another financial institution.
  


• Broad understanding of risk management in an asset management environment, including operational, investment, financial, strategic and reputational risks.
  


• Good knowledge of the Swiss regulatory framework (FINMA, FinSA/FinIA).
  


• Highly autonomous with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  


• Proven ability to work independently in a stand-alone function.
  


• Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Python would be considered an advantage.
  


• Fluent French is required; English is an asset.
