Test Engineer (80-100%)

• Your mission at Climeworks is to enable testing and validation of new technology ideas and concepts, delivering reliable results and striving for measurement excellence in our state-of-the-art testing facilities.   

• You plan, organize, and coordinate test activities for new hardware components, new sorbent materials, and adsorption processes  including developing test specifications and ensuring reproducible tests.  

• You enable the collection of test data and prepare them for further usage, including ensuring the quality of test results and analyzing measurement uncertainty.  

• You develop and optimize new and existing testing facilities and work in close collaboration with internal and external partners to design and build new test facilities. 

• You coordinate internal and external work packages and suggest optimizations to current test setups and implement them after approval. 

• You ensure that the measurement setup fits the required accuracy and purpose, allowing thorough characterization of the system. 

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on process engineering or a related engineering discipline. 

• You possess at least 2 years of expertise in the field of testing. 

• You are knowledgeable in testing process design on large to full scale and have hands-on experience in agile testing and rapid prototyping.

• You possess knowledge in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and process engineering. 

• You like working in an interdisciplinary team, are flexible and adaptable, and you show excellent communication and organization skills.  

• You work independently, reliably, and in a structured manner, with a strong quality awareness and a willingness to learn. 

• You are proficient in English and German, and you are willing to travel up to 10%.
