Internship in Data quality and engineering (m/f/d)

If you are looking for an opportunity to dive into big data and get hand-on experience in real-world data engineering challenges, this opportunity is for you.

As an intern, you will create tools and methods to ensure our data is reliable and ready for analytics.

Your focus will be on designing and implementing tools and solutions for data quality assessment. You will dive into the data and propose new solutions to assess and track data health over time.

Your work will span over the full solution lifecycle, from evaluating existing frameworks to production implementation. You will be part of the R&D Data Operations team, giving you direct exposure to real day-to-day data challenges such as pipeline execution, data cleaning, and handling large volumes of data.

More about the role

• Perform a literature and state-of-the-art review of data quality methods, and assess their performance and suitability for the required scenario

• Evaluate and assess data pipeline capabilities to design and implement a data profiling tool

• Implement a working prototype of the profiling framework, including selected methods.

• Evaluate the prototype performance and scalability using synthetic data

More about you

• BSc or MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a related field

• General understanding of coding environments (Python), dataset handling and statistics and machine learning methods

• Foundations on data engineering and familiarity with data quality concepts

• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives
