Application Engineer & Quality Manager (Turkey) – Industrial Sales South Europe & Turkey

…to improve customer support in Turkey and promote ongoing enhancement of processes across South Europe and Turkey.

This hybrid position blends strategic quality oversight with practical technical assistance to secure operational excellence and the best use of our products and solutions for customers. You will work inside an active, customer-focused Sales Unit and collaborate daily with teams across Europe & Africa (mainly Italy, Portugal & Spain). You will act as a technical interface with customers, ensuring reliable engineering support and product application quality, while coordinating Quality Management System activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather customer requirements and provide engineering recommendations;


• Support product validation, performance analysis, and failure investigations;


• Conduct technical discussions, projects & training with customers;


• Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Service, R&D, and Engineering teams within SKF;


• Maintain and improve the QMS;


• Track Quality & Business KPIs and implement corrective & preventive actions;


• Manage internal and external audits; ensure ISO 9001 and internal compliance;


• Manage customer complaints; perform structured RCA (8D, 5 Why);


• Ensure Sales Process simplification & standardization;

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Engineering;


• Demonstrated experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications;


• Some years of experience as Quality Engineer,  Application Engineering, Technical Support, or similar technical roles in a manufacturing industry.


• Experience with QMS/ISO 9001, Six Sigma and root-cause tools (RCA, 8D, 5 Why);


• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills and clear communication abilities;


• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities;


• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; fluent Turkish; 


• Willingness to travel within Turkey and across South Europe (Italy & Spain).

Some additional information
This position will be located in Istanbul, Turkey, on local contract. 

You will directly report to the Application Engineering SET & Service Delivery Italy, who is located in Italy and functionally to the Sustainability & Quality SET Manager
