Bakery Commis Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

A well-established hospitality and F&B company in Riyadh is looking for a Bakery Commis to support its bakery team, assisting with the preparation of breads, viennoiserie, and baked goods across a busy multi-outlet operation.

6 months contract for Riyadh Season Event

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of breads, viennoiserie, and other baked goods under the guidance of senior bakers


• Measure and prepare ingredients accurately according to recipes and portion standards


• Support daily mise en place for the bakery section, including mixing, proofing, and shaping doughs


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery station and equipment


• Follow food safety, hygiene, and storage standards (HACCP) for ingredients and finished products


• Assist with basic finishing and presentation of baked goods for service


• Monitor stock of flour, yeast, and other bakery ingredients, flagging replenishment needs to senior staff


• Support the bakery team during high-volume periods and special events

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a bakery commis or in a similar entry-level baking role in a hotel, restaurant, or large-scale F&B/bakery operation


• Basic knowledge of bread-making and baking techniques


• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior bakers


• Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment, including early/split shifts common to bakery operations


• Conversational proficiency in English


• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
