We are looking for a Sales & Operations Planning and Site Logistics Manager for overseeing the S&OP process, managing site logistics operations, and leading a diverse team to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and efficient execution of supply chain strategies in alignment with BASF standards and business objectives.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field


• Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Materials Management, or Logistics Operations


• Proven experience in people leadership, team development, and performance management


• Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain planning, inventory management, and logistics operations


• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA, SAP APO, OMP, or comparable supply chain planning systems


• Advanced analytical skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI


• Fluent in Turkish and English, both written and spoken


• Residing in Istanbul (Asian side) or Kocaeli

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the Personal Care Business Unit in Turkey, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, inventory, and business objectives.


• Drive cross-functional collaboration among Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to support effective planning and decision-making.


• Manage inventory performance and supply planning activities, balancing customer service levels, working capital targets, and operational requirements.


• Continuously improve, standardize, and optimize planning processes, tools, and ways of working in line with BASF global standards and best practices.


• Monitor, analyze, and drive improvements in key supply chain, planning, and logistics KPIs to enhance operational performance and business results.


• Lead, coach, and develop the planning and logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and safety.


• Oversee all site logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and inventory management activities.


• Manage relationships with logistics service providers and operational partners to ensure service excellence, compliance, and cost efficiency.


• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and transportation regulations, particularly within a chemical manufacturing environment.


• Identify and implement initiatives to optimize logistics and supply chain costs while maintaining high service and operational standards.


• Develop and manage the logistics budget and support cost-saving initiatives across planning and logistics operations.


• Prepare and present regular business reviews, performance reports, and management presentations to support effective decision-making.


• Lead or contribute to digitalization, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen supply chain and logistics capabilities.
