Senior Insurance Specialist, Insurance & Claims, Turkey

Job Description

• Procure and manage insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage for our company's shipments and operations.


• Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments for each shipment and provide recommendations for appropriate insurance coverage and risk mitigation strategies. 


•  Claim Processing: Handle the end-to-end claims process, including claim documentation, submission, negotiation with insurance providers, and settlement.


•  Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of insurance policies, claims, and related documentation.


•  Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, external partners, and insurance providers regarding insurance matters and claims.


• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and enhance insurance policies, claim processes, and risk management strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.


• Customer Service: Provide timely and professional assistance to clients regarding insurance-related inquiries and claims issues.


• Dispute Resolution: Address any disputes or discrepancies related to insurance claims in a fair and equitable manner, seeking resolution to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

•           Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Banking and Insurance or Statistics,
•           Minimum 5 years of experience in Insurance / Reinsurance and/or Insurance Brokerage,
•           Ability to communicate with global teams
•           Good communication skills
•           Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
•           Proficiency in global insurance platforms such as CIRA
•           Good knowledge of English (speaking and writing).
