Job Description - Solution Designer

This role ensures alignment with business requirements, IT strategy and architectural standards, while balancing speed, quality, and cost. Oversee the lifecycle of Integration Domain products and solutions, driving innovation and continuous improvement. \nSupervise solution/implementation of other developers, accountable from technical architecture \u0026 e2e solutions of Vodafone Integration platform applications.\n\nAccountable for analysis and validation of requirements for the assigned projects and clarifying business requirements. \nAccountable for delivering detailed designs of the product and services. Document detailed solution\u0026system design specification and other technical documents. \nAccountable for reviewing design and source code. If necessary, perform re-factoring software modules. \nResponsible for coding, debugging and testing complex software modules and cases (drawing flow chart, designing modules, architecture) \nResponsible for providing technical and financial input (CAPEX) to solutions, including effort estimation, constraints, and dependencies. \nAs a member of the squad, supporting the team in achieving sprint goals and KPIs. \nLead feasibility studies and technical design processes for company-wide solutions. \nMaintain Integration Domain product roadmaps and target architecture in collaboration with Solution Architects. \nManage relationships and cooperation with Group IT and other stakeholders. \nIdentify opportunities for innovation, change, and improvement in the Integration Domain. \nContribute to Group Business and Technology plans.\n\n## Who you are\n\nBachelor\u0027s degree from Computer Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Mathematics Engineering and other related departments. \n\u00b7 7+ years experience. \n\u00b7 Broad knowledge of software technology and development processes, particularly Scrum, Kanban, TDD or BDD , disciplined agile delivery and lean development.\n\nTechnical Skills \nStrong knowledge and experience of software architecture, design, and development technologies, including: \nAlgorithms, object-oriented programming, multithreading, concurrency, event driven architecture. \nJava, Spring Boot, XML, SOAP, REST, Web Services, Apache Camel. \nContainerization and orchestration tools: Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Kubernetes, Docker. \nCI/CD and DevOps tools: Jenkins, Nexus, API Gateway. \nMessaging and caching technologies: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis. \nDatabases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB. \nUnit testing tools: JUnit or equivalent. \nExperience with Agentic AI, MCP and LLMs is a plus. \nKnow-how and experience of Telecommunication concepts and services are a plus.\n\nSoft Skills \nSelf Motivated: Motivated to do or achieve more because of one\u0027s own enthusiasm or interest, without needing pressure from others. \u00b7 Initiative: Doing things proactively, stepping up and taking action to improve current situations or address challenges and potential opportunities. \nSolutions Driven: Display sound judgement, considering the pros and cons of different options and situations to make informed and robust decisions. \nWorking Together: Working as part of a team and not separately or competitively \u2013 together. \nStrong facilitation and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders. \nGrowth mindset with a passion for quality and continuous improvement. \nComfortable working in international and cross-cultural environments. \nStrong presentation and communication skills. \nVery good command of English.\n\n## Not a perfect fit?\n\nWorried that you don\u2019t meet all the desired criteria exactly?
