About the Job:

Platform Technical Lead will be responsible for defining the architecture and technical strategy for our payment gateway system NGenius Online, with a specific focus on enabling white-label solutions. Will be responsible for delivering technical support to our customers, resolving complex issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve the reliability and functionality of our payment gateway (NGenius Online). This role will be pivotal in ensuring a seamless experience for our clients and their customers.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Customer Support: Provide expert technical support to customers, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring prompt resolution of payment gateway-related problems.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to payment processing, working closely with customers and internal teams as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation of support processes, troubleshooting steps, and issue resolution procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, keeping them informed about issue status, progress, and resolution timelines.
  • Escalation Handling: Determine when to escalate issues to higher levels of support or development teams, and provide clear and detailed information for escalations.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and guidance to junior support engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Quality Improvement: Identify trends in customer issues and work with product managers and development teams to improve the payment gateway's reliability and functionality.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for on-call support and participate in the resolution of high incidents during non-business hours when necessary.
  • Scalability and Performance: Architect solutions that can handle high transaction volumes and optimize the performance of payment processing for white-label partners.
  • Security and Compliance: Establish and enforce security best practices and compliance measures to protect sensitive payment data.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Platform operations teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practices.

  • Enterprise experience with the following Java based frameworks: Spring-framework, Spring-boot, Spring-cloud, Quarkus.

  • Experience in Kotlin and Go languages.

  • Experience with micro services architecture and design patterns.

  • Strong functional knowledge in the financial/banking domain.

  • Strong experience in Keycloak, OAuth2.0, OpenID

  • Experience with streaming platforms (Eg: Kafka, Azure Events Hub etc.)

  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helmchart).

  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to payment processing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to Ecommerce payment processing, proposing and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize frontend performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks, reducing load times, and enhancing user interactions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior frontend engineers.

Experience/ Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).

  • Proven experience (8+ years) as a Team lead in Ecommerce payment processing or related fields.

  • Deep knowledge of payment protocols (e.g., ISO 8583), payment APIs, and integration with payment service providers.

  • Experience with React UI libraries: Ant Design or Material UI.

  • Familiarity with MongoDB for data storage and retrieval.

  • Experience with Apache Kafka for efficient message processing and event-driven architectures.

  • Proficiency in KeyCloak for user authentication and authorization management.

  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.

  • Experience with micro services architecture and design patterns.

  • Experience with RESTful API integration and working with backend teams.

  • Expertise in security standards, encryption, tokenization, and data privacy regulations.

  • Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Spring boot or Vue.js).

  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.

  • Experience with micro services architecture and design patterns.

  • Experience with RESTful API integration and working with backend teams.

  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
