Job Description - Architect UAE

Job Opportunity for Senior Design/ Technical Architect with BIM Capabilities

Required Skills

Concept Design, Schematic Design, Detail Design and Construction Documents.
Take the lead in technical matters as well as project management.
Provide design solutions and leading the project(s) from inception to various stages until handover.
Specification writing, up -to -date knowledge of materials and their applications.
Partake in the production of drawings at all stages. Lead/supervise other team members during design presentation in all project stages.
Expertise in Revit & BIM.

General Expectations

Knowledge of updated Authority regulations & relevant Standards & Codes.
Evaluation of project scope of works and assist in the preparation of proposals.
Collaborate with other team members to determine design needs and requirements for the project.
Preparing and presenting design proposals to the client.
Supervision of the design team, necessary review, corrections and guidelines.
Allocation, distribution and follow up of tasks within the team, checking of works produced.
Ensure deliverables are produced within scope & time constraints committed on project
Contribute to the Lessons Learnt Database of the company.
Prepare & maintain project documents like correspondence, minutes of the meeting, notes etc.
Liaison with local authorities and attend to necessary technical meetings with authorities.
Coordination with other disciplines and external team members (suppliers / sub -consultants).
Works closely with relevant external parties and clients to ensure timely delivery according to plan.
Support the BIM activities by participating with the development and implementation of the digital roadmap.
Develop and enforce BIM documentation and workflow process standards and automate routines in BIM to support standards, quality and productivity.
Travelling to sites to complete physical inspections and site surveys.

Requirements

Skills Expected

Software skills which include Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD.
Presentation skills including PowerPoint, In Design, Illustrator, Adobe suite.
Analytical mind with strong problem -solving ability
Strong planning and organization skills
High levels of creativity, imagination and vision
Design thinker, Imaginative and creative thinker
Decision maker and a negotiator.

15+ years of minimum experience required

Your performance will be monitored and gazed primarily by the following:

Quality of design output.
Competence level in performance of your professional duties.
Ability to deliver & closeout effectively.
Pro -active approach in identifying a potential problem and providing its solution.
Interface quality with the technical & technology teams
