Job Description - Automation Technician - Urgent Hiring

BG Global is hiring for the starch manufacturing industry and is seeking an experienced Automation Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and support PLC, DCS, and automation systems to ensure reliable plant operations.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain, troubleshoot, and support PLC, DCS, and automation control systems.

- Read and interpret P&IDs and understand process control logic.

- Prepare cable schedules and perform hot & cold loop checking.

- Support DCS networking and third-party communication systems.

- Maintain UPS systems to ensure uninterrupted operation of automation equipment.

- Assist in commissioning, testing, and optimizing automation systems.

- Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Requirements

- ITI, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Automation, Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

- 3â5 years of experience in the starch manufacturing industry.

- Hands-on experience with Siemens S7 PLCs; knowledge of Siemens PCS 7 is an advantage.

- Experience with DCS networking, third-party communication, cable scheduling, and loop checking.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and technical documentation.

- Ability to read P&IDs and troubleshoot automation systems.
