Job Description - Cutlister

Description
  • Generate Cutting Lists & BOMs: Prepare millimeter-accurate manual or software-driven material cutting lists and Bills of Materials (BOM) detailing the dimensions, grain direction, and quantities for all components (e.g., MDF, plywood, solid wood, veneer, laminates)
  • Review Technical Drawings: Thoroughly analyze and interpret sales designs, shop drawings, and architectural blueprints to ensure compliance with production capabilities and site measurements
  • Material Optimization: Use specialized nesting and optimization software to lay out parts on raw material sheets, maximizing yield and drastically reducing factory floor waste
  • Hardware & Machining Specification: Correctly identify and integrate hardware tolerances (hinges, sliders, brackets, locks) and specify edge-banding details, drilling holes, and custom CNC routes
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate closely with factory supervisors, and assembly carpenters to resolve technical discrepancies before manufacturing begins
  • Additional task as assigned by the Line Manager
