Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to lead the end -to -end data migration workstream for a large -scale Oracle Fusion ERP implementation within a leading public sector organisation in Abu Dhabi.

This leadership role is responsible for defining and executing the overall data migration strategy, governance framework, migration architecture, and delivery across multiple Oracle Fusion Cloud modules. The successful candidate will ensure high -quality migration of enterprise data from legacy systems into Oracle Fusion while maintaining data integrity, compliance, and business continuity throughout the programme lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation experience, strong technical expertise in Oracle migration tools, and proven leadership in managing complex enterprise ERP data migration programmes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Migration Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and own the overall data migration strategy aligned with programme objectives and implementation timelines.
  • Define migration methodology, governance framework, migration waves, and deployment approach.
  • Create the end -to -end migration roadmap covering extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, loading, reconciliation, and cutover.
  • Establish migration standards, templates, quality controls, and best practices across all workstreams.
  • Define migration success criteria, readiness checkpoints, and Go -Live acceptance standards.

2. Migration Architecture & Technical Design

  • Design enterprise -scale migration architecture supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
  • Define migration approaches for Oracle Fusion modules including:
    • Financials
    • Human Capital Management (HCM)
    • Procurement
    • Supply Chain Management (SCM)
    • Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
  • Select and govern appropriate migration mechanisms including:
    • HDL
    • FBDI
    • ADFDI
    • REST APIs
  • Ensure migration architecture aligns with overall solution architecture and Oracle implementation standards.
  • Review and approve technical migration designs developed by the project team.

3. Data Assessment & Governance

  • Lead legacy data discovery and assessment activities across all source systems.
  • Analyse source data quality, completeness, consistency, and complexity.
  • Establish data ownership, stewardship, governance, and approval processes.
  • Define cleansing rules, transformation standards, and validation criteria.
  • Maintain:
    • Data Migration Plan
    • Object Inventory
    • Mapping Documents
    • Transformation Specifications
    • Traceability Matrix
    • Data Quality Register

4. ETL Design & Migration Delivery

  • Lead the design and development of extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Oversee development of Oracle Fusion migration templates and conversion programs.
  • Manage migration activities including:
    • Data extraction
    • Data transformation
    • Data validation
    • Data loading
    • Reconciliation
    • Defect resolution
  • Supervise multiple mock migration cycles and production migration rehearsals.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation between source and target systems.
  • Coordinate production migration and cutover execution.

5. Oracle Fusion Data Migration

Lead migration activities across Oracle Fusion functional areas including:

  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Fixed Assets (FA)
  • Cash Management
  • Procurement
  • Inventory
  • Supplier Master
  • Customer Master
  • Human Capital Management
  • Projects
  • Chart of Accounts
  • Organization Structures
  • Value Sets
  • Reference Data

Ensure migrated data complies with Oracle Fusion configuration and business rules.

6. Integration & Cross -Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Functional Consultants, Solution Architects, Integration Leads, and Technical Teams.
  • Ensure migration activities are aligned with:
    • Configuration
    • Integrations
    • Reporting
    • Security
    • Extensions
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate transformation logic and business rules.
  • Support Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integration requirements where applicable.

7. Cutover & Go -Live Support

  • Develop detailed migration cutover plans.
  • Coordinate data freeze activities.
  • Lead multiple cutover rehearsals.
  • Execute production migration during Go -Live.
  • Monitor migration execution and resolve issues during deployment.
  • Conduct post -Go -Live reconciliation and data validation.
  • Support Hypercare activities until successful project stabilization.

8. Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all data migration activities.
  • Manage communication with client stakeholders, programme leadership, and third -party vendors.
  • Present migration readiness reports to Steering Committee and Design Authority.
  • Lead and mentor:
    • Data Migration Analysts
    • ETL Developers
    • Data Stewards
    • Technical Consultants
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans throughout the migration lifecycle.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10–15 years of overall IT experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of ERP data migration experience.
  • Minimum 5 years leading Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP data migration projects.
  • Successfully delivered at least two full lifecycle Oracle Fusion ERP implementations in a Data Migration Lead capacity.
  • Proven experience managing end -to -end migration from strategy through post -Go -Live support.
  • Experience within Public Sector, Government, or highly regulated industries is highly desirable.
