About the position: The Designer  is a creative collaborator that will
be contributing to the design, interior product selection and specification documentation with a worldwide team of professionals.



We are looking for a candidate who are eager to learn and contribute to an interior design team focused on international hotel and resort development.




Qualifications




  • Proficient In: Adobe Suites, Hand Sketching, Bluebeam AutoCad, Photoshop, and InDesign

  • Well-rounded experience in FF&A specifications, space planning, as well as design development, construction documentation and construction administration

  • Strong written, oral and visual communication skills

  • Good collaboration skills, organized and able to work in a team environment

  • An interest in changing trends in design

  • Requires Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from accredited school

  • Hospitality, Architecture or Interior Design experience preferred

  • Licensed or pursuing license in interior design a plus



Once you are here you will:




  •   Work closely with Project Leads & Lead Designers through all phases of Design, from Schematic Presentation to Construction Documents

  • Production of drawings, including technical and coordination issues

  • Involved in the managing of correspondence among all design team members and overseas offices

  • Assist Designers, Interior architects, CAD Operators and Spec Dept.  (All tasks will allow intern to become exposed to the roles of each of these design team members.)

  • Contributing to the production of schematic design presentations (Coloring Plans, organizing finish boards, etc.)

  • Play a role in the Pin-Up process

  • Updating and maintaining the design library and meeting with sales reps.
