Translate Cluster’s vision and business objectives into strategic marketing and communication plans adapting and delivering best-in-class approaches and activities.
Core Responsibilities:
Define and oversee marketing long-term and annual strategies for the Cluster and each of its businesses.
Act as a key advisor in the cluster with regards to marketing and communications plans, campaigns, initiatives and programs.
Lead all stakeholder engagement and foster successful relationships with key enablers for Cluster and/or its businesses’ marketing and PR activities via open communication and responsiveness to issues affecting the strategic direction, reputation or meeting its objectives.
Direct and lead strategic, results-driven and high-quality marketing and communications services to protect the reputation of and consistently promote the Cluster and its business units.
Develop a customer-centric culture in which team members are encouraged and empowered to develop integrated projects that demonstrate marketing excellence.
Control budget allocations and spends for annual cluster marketing and communications activities intended to build reputation, position and promote Cluster and the businesses.
Direct market research to study industry best practices; latest channels, materials and tools; and implement new ideas in the cluster.
Explore opportunities and advise new markets to promote the cluster’s products and services.
Evaluate and approve cluster’s marketing content and the appropriate channels to attract customers.
Deliver reports with regards to cluster’s marketing performance, current activities, bottlenecks and recommendation plans.
People Management Responsibilities:
Provide strong and visionary leadership, supervision, and guidance to the team, setting clear expectations and creating a culture of accountability.
Ensure that the team has access to the necessary resources, including budget and technology, to support their projects.
Promote diversity and inclusion within the team to harness a broader range of perspectives and ideas.
Coach and mentor direct reports ensuring the effective management of their teams.
Strategic Responsibilities:
Oversee/guide the development of the brand strategy for Cluster and its businesses including the development of the brand position and value propositions for each of the customer segments.
Oversee/guide the activities of the marketing and communications department ensuring that the team’s output is integrated, meets objectives and is measured.
Oversee/guide the processes, workflows and the structure of the department ensuring that they are optimised, and that high-quality output is delivered
Ensure that the marketing and communications department is aligned with procurement, operations and HR to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Oversee the plan for the provision of marketing assistance to Business Development when identifying new viable business lines.
