Description
We are seeking a Director to lead the Project Management function and drive the successful delivery of strategic initiatives. This role involves overseeing complex projects, establishing effective governance, and managing cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in PMO governance, risk management, and resource planning.

Responsibilities

Lead the Project Management function, establishing governance and controls for the project portfolio.
Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of strategic and operational projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Develop project portfolios, schedules, budgets, and resource plans, managing key milestones.
Enhance PMO standards, methodologies, and reporting mechanisms, ensuring project controls.
Provide executive-level reporting on project performance, risks, dependencies, and budget status.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder engagement and communication.
Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and scope changes, ensuring timely mitigation.
Ensure projects meet quality, safety, financial, and operational requirements, monitoring performance.
Drive effective resource allocation and prioritization across projects and business demands.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement through lessons learned and project performance analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.
Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
Postgraduate qualification in Project Management or a related field is an advantage.
Strong professional proficiency in English, with Arabic as an added advantage.
Minimum 12 years of relevant project management experience, including complex projects.
Proven senior project leadership or PMO experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
Strong experience in PMO governance, risk management, and resource planning.
Experience in managing senior stakeholders and providing executive-level reporting.
Track record of delivering projects across the full lifecycle, from planning to handover.
