Compensation

Roles and Responsibilities

You
approach your responsibilities with discipline, a clear understanding of what
the business requires, and a consistent attention to quality - working
collaboratively and focused, at all times, on delivering meaningful output.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of
relevant Engineering experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge
with proven experience in building operations and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience in the
maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC
systems.
- Good understanding of
building services, plant room operations and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Ability to diagnose and
resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring minimum disruption to hotel
operations.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems,
pumps, motors, valves, plumbing systems and other building services equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret
technical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals and maintenance instructions.
- Strong knowledge of health,
safety and safe working practices.
- Excellent communication
skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.
- Ability to work
independently, prioritise tasks and respond effectively to emergency
maintenance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail
with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential technical
issues.

and tasks assigned.
- Monitor and maintain the
day-to-day operation of building systems and engineering equipment to ensure
uninterrupted hotel operations.
- Conduct regular inspections
of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and other building services systems.
- Respond promptly to
maintenance requests, breakdowns and technical emergencies, ensuring issues are
resolved efficiently.
- Carry out preventive and
corrective maintenance across the property in accordance with established
standards and procedures.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and
building services equipment and identify the root cause of technical issues.
- Ensure all plant rooms,
machinery, equipment and engineering areas are maintained in a clean, safe and
operational condition.
- Monitor the performance of
HVAC equipment, pumps, motors, valves, water systems and other mechanical
installations.
- Work closely with the
Engineering team and other hotel departments to address operational and
maintenance requirements in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure all maintenance
activities are properly recorded and completed through the relevant work orders
and maintenance logs.
- Assist in monitoring
contractors and external service providers to ensure work is carried out safely
and in accordance with required standards.
- Maintain strict adherence to
safe work practices, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Proactively identify
potential equipment failures and maintenance requirements to minimise
operational downtime.
- Ensure adequate availability
of engineering tools, spare parts and consumables required for daily
maintenance activities.
- Support the Engineering team
during emergencies, events and periods of high operational activity.
- Contribute to FIVE’s
Sustainability Initiatives, ensuring environmentally responsible engineering
and maintenance practices.
- Attend relevant technical
training to continuously develop knowledge and expertise across various
engineering disciplines.
- Demonstrate a ‘FIVE-Star’

and procedures.
