Job Description - Financial Planning Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Analyst (FPA) with 8+ years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, and performance management. The role requires strong business acumen, advanced financial modeling expertise, and the ability to provide strategic insights that influence executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end financial planning process including annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.

Perform advanced financial modeling, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis to support strategic initiatives.

Deliver executive-level financial reports and presentations to management, board members, and stakeholders.

Partner with senior leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, cost structures, and business performance drivers.

Analyze cash flow, working capital, and profitability to optimize resource allocation.

Provide insights on market trends, risks, and growth opportunities impacting business performance.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial reporting by working closely with accounting and audit teams.

Drive automation, process efficiency, and adoption of FP&A best practices across the organization.

Mentor and guide junior analysts, building a strong FP&A function.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred).

8+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably in large or multinational companies.

Proven track record in financial modeling, forecasting, and performance reporting.

Strong expertise with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar) and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).

Excellent business partnering skills with the ability to influence senior management.

Strong leadership qualities with experience in mentoring or managing junior analysts.

Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
