Food Runner

Role summary: Links the kitchen and the floor, getting food to the right table quickly, hot and as plated.

Key responsibilities

• Collect dishes from the pass and deliver them to the correct table and seat position.
• Check each plate against the order ticket for accuracy, garnish and allergen notes before leaving the pass.
• Announce dishes to guests and confirm everything ordered has arrived.
• Clear tables and return used items to the stewarding area.
• Restock service stations with cutlery, condiments, napkins and glassware.
• Pass guest feedback or special requests between waiters and the kitchen.
• Keep service and pass areas clean and safe.

Requirements

• High school education.
• 6 months+ in a restaurant or hotel; entry-level candidates considered.
• Basic spoken English and knowledge of table numbering and seat positions.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate and UAE Occupational Health Card.
• Fast, organized and physically fit; able to carry trays and stand for long shifts.
