Civil QA/QC Engineer – Job Description

Job Title: Civil QA/QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and inspect civil construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  
• Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Control procedures.
  
• Conduct inspections for concrete, reinforcement, formwork, masonry, waterproofing, excavation, backfilling, and finishing works.
  
• Review material submittals, material approvals, and test certificates.
  
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site teams for inspections and approvals.
  
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IR/WIR) and follow up on approvals.
  
• Identify quality issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, checklists, and test records.
  
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, ISO standards, and relevant construction codes.
  
• Coordinate with laboratories for concrete, soil, aggregate, and other required material testing.
  
• Assist in handling NCRs, observations, and site quality issues.
  
• Conduct regular site quality inspections and ensure proper documentation of all activities.
  
• Participate in quality meetings and coordinate with the project team to achieve project quality objectives.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  
• Minimum 3–5 years of QA/QC experience in civil construction projects.
  
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, inspection procedures, and quality standards.
  
• Experience with high-rise, commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
  
• Knowledge of ITP, MIR, WIR/IR, NCR, Method Statements, and material testing.
  
• Good communication and documentation skills.
  
• UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
