HVAC Draftsman – Job Description

An HVAC Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed HVAC drawings and layouts for building and MEP projects. The role involves developing accurate technical drawings based on engineering designs, specifications, and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed HVAC shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-built drawings.
  
• Develop layouts for ductwork, chilled water piping, FCU, AHU, ventilation, and exhaust systems.
  
• Prepare HVAC coordination drawings and ensure proper coordination with electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and architectural services.
  
• Modify drawings based on consultant/client comments and site requirements.
  
• Prepare sections, details, schedules, and equipment layouts.
  
• Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, and compliance with project specifications.
  
• Coordinate with engineers, BIM modelers, site teams, and other MEP disciplines.
  
• Update drawings based on site changes and maintain proper drawing revisions.
  
• Use AutoCAD and relevant MEP/BIM software for drafting and coordination.
  
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable project standards and technical requirements.
