Job Title : Full-Stack AI Engineer (TypeScript)

About the Role

We are building an AI-native product at the intersection of desktop software and intelligent automation — think in the category of Cursor, Granola, or Raycast. This is not a generic engineering role. You will be at the core of a team designing, building, and shipping a product where the AI layer is the product.

You will own the full delivery pipeline — backend APIs, LLM agent logic, real-time communication, and desktop packaging — working in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment where engineering quality is non-negotiable.

What You'll Do

Design and build backend services using NestJS 11 and Node.js 22 with Bun as the runtime toolchain

Develop responsive, performant frontend interfaces using React 19, MUI 7, Zustand, and Vite 7

Architect and maintain LLM application pipelines using LangChain and the MCP

SDK, including RAG workflows with ChromaDB 3 and HNSW indexing

Integrate and maintain the Tauri v2 desktop shell for cross-platform packaging and native OS interaction

Implement real-time features using Socket.IO

Write comprehensive tests across unit (Vitest 3), end-to-end (Playwright), and mutation (Stryker) layers

Contribute actively to architecture decisions and technical direction of the product

What You Bring

Strong TypeScript proficiency across both frontend and backend (3+ years in production)

Hands-on experience with React (v18/19) and NestJS or equivalent Node.js framework

Demonstrated experience building with LLMs — LangChain, RAG pipelines, vector databases, or tool/agent frameworks

Familiarity with Tauri, Electron, or any desktop application shell

Comfort with real-time architectures (Socket.IO, WebSockets)

A strong GitHub portfolio demonstrating AI or full-stack product work Experience with modern testing practices; mutation testing (Stryker) is a strong plus

Nice to Have

Exposure to ChromaDB, Weaviate, Qdrant, or other vector stores

Understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) and agent tool-calling patterns

Prior experience shipping cross-platform desktop applications

Familiarity with Rust at a conceptual level (for Tauri internals)
