Develop frameworks, tools, and criteria to prepare SMEs for global expansion, covering product, pricing, branding, certification, logistics, and regulatory requirements.--Must
Identify and prioritise international markets, set participation criteria for trade missions/exhibitions, connect SMEs with buyers and distributors, and support them post‑entry.--Must
Build and leverage partnerships with trade agencies, business networks, and international organisations to activate opportunities and open new channels.--Must
Create processes, playbooks, and guidelines for the function, benchmark global best practices, and strengthen Dubai SME’s internationalization journey.--Must

Role Purpose
Lead the strategic development of programs, frameworks, and partnerships to support SME internationalisation readiness and access to global markets. Develop approaches to prepare SMEs for expansion, identify priority markets, and create pathways and partnerships to enable successful entry and sustained growth internationally.
Core Responsibilities
Internationalisation Readiness
Develop frameworks, tools, and readiness models for SME expansion.
Define criteria for SME readiness (product, pricing, branding, certification, logistics, regulatory).
Move SMEs from readiness into market access opportunities.
Global Market Access
Identify and prioritise markets/sectors aligned with Dubai’s economic priorities.
Set criteria for SME participation in exhibitions, trade missions, and global opportunities.
Connect SMEs with buyers, distributors, and partners in priority markets.
Support SMEs post‑entry to sustain and grow their international presence.
International Partnerships
Build partnerships with trade agencies, business networks, and international organisations.
Leverage Dubai SME’s international network to open new markets and channels.
Activate priority opportunities through strategic partnerships.
Framework Establishment
Develop plans, frameworks, and processes for the Global Markets & Expansion function.
Standardise approaches with playbooks, tools, and guidelines.
Benchmark international models and apply best practices to Dubai SME.
Qualification Criteria
Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, Trade, Strategy, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 12 years in international business, export development, global market expansion, or SME internationalisation.
Proven expertise in strategy development, frameworks, and market entry approaches.
Experience assessing SME products for export readiness.
Strong background working with government entities, chambers, trade agencies, and international partners.
