Job Description - Heavy Driver

Description
As a Heavy Driver, you will play a crucial role in our ready-mix concrete operations. Your primary responsibility will be to operate heavy-duty vehicles and transport concrete to various construction sites, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. You will work closely with our dispatch team to plan routes and optimize delivery schedules. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of your vehicle, performing basic maintenance checks, and adhering to all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy-duty vehicles to transport ready-mix concrete to construction sites.
Plan and follow optimized delivery routes, considering traffic conditions and site requirements.
Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining effective communication with dispatch and site supervisors.
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues or maintenance needs.
Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper loading and unloading procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
Assist in loading and unloading concrete, working collaboratively with site personnel.
Keep accurate records of deliveries, including time, location, and quantity of concrete delivered.
Comply with all traffic laws and regulations, maintaining a safe driving record.
Provide exceptional customer service, representing Danube Building Materials with professionalism.

Qualifications

Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driver's License (HDT or equivalent) is mandatory.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a heavy driver, preferably in the construction or ready-mix concrete industry.
In-depth knowledge of UAE roads, including major construction sites and traffic patterns.
Ability to operate heavy-duty vehicles safely and efficiently, with a clean driving record.
Excellent spatial awareness and navigation skills, with the ability to read and interpret maps.
Physical fitness to perform basic vehicle maintenance and assist with loading/unloading.
Strong communication skills for effective coordination with dispatch and site teams.
Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report vehicle issues promptly.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends, as needed.
A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
