Job Description - Helper

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Helper to support our construction team on -site across various projects. This role is essential to maintaining productivity, safety, and efficiency on construction sites. The Helper will perform a wide range of supportive tasks under the supervision of foremen and lead workers, contributing directly to the successful completion of projects. From material handling and site preparation to equipment maintenance and cleanup, the Helper plays a vital role in ensuring operations run smoothly. This position offers hands -on experience and the opportunity to grow within a dynamic, safety -focused construction environment. Candidates must be physically fit, detail -oriented, and committed to upholding the highest standards of workplace safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

Assist skilled tradespeople with daily tasks, including transporting materials and tools to work areas
Prepare work sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up temporary structures
Operate and maintain basic hand and power tools under supervision
Help with the assembly, disassembly, and storage of scaffolding, forms, and equipment
Perform cleaning and site cleanup at the end of each shift to ensure a safe and organized worksite
Support material handling, including loading, unloading, and organizing supplies on -site
Monitor and report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or unsafe conditions to supervisors
Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols at all times
Assist with inventory management and tracking of tools and supplies
Support site logistics, including setting up signage, barriers, and safety zones

Requirements

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and OSHA standards
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Reliable transportation to and from job sites
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if required for site access)
Previous experience in construction, labor, or related field is a plus but not required
Must be able to pass a pre -employment background check and drug screening
