Position Purpose
To lead and manage all Health, Safety, Environmental, Fire Safety and Regulatory
Compliance activities across the JAFZA Warehouse and Head Office Complex, ensuring full
compliance with JAFZA, Trakhees-EHS, Dubai Civil Defense and UAE regulatory
requirements while fostering a proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
⢠Ensure compliance with all applicable JAFZA, Trakhees-EHS, Dubai Civil Defense and UAE
HSE regulations.
⢠Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities.
⢠Lead risk assessments, HIRA, JSA and Safe Work Procedures.
⢠Manage warehouse safety programs including forklift operations, racking safety, loading
bays, battery charging areas, contractor management and hazardous materials handling.
⢠Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
⢠Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills.
⢠Manage environmental compliance, waste management and sustainability initiatives.
⢠Deliver HSE training, inductions and awareness campaigns.
⢠Lead internal and external audits and maintain compliance documentation.
Authority & Accountability
⢠Stop unsafe work activities.
⢠Escalate regulatory and compliance risks to management.
⢠Recommend disciplinary action for repeated safety violations.
⢠Approve HSE procedures, risk assessments and safety permits within delegated authority.
Qualifications
Bachelorâs Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or
related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 8â10 years of HSE experience including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Experience within JAFZA, logistics, warehousing or distribution environments is mandatory.
