Your Opportunity  


We are looking for a +impact Partner - Advisory with Purpose, who will be responsible for establishing and growing the Advisory business in the UAE covering key service lines including but not limited to Customer Experience & Innovation, Organisational Resilience, Operational Transformation, Asset and Facilities Management, HSQ and Sustainability.  


 


Key areas of this role are leading, expanding and delivering advisory and consultancy services in key market sectors where Serco deliver operational services. The role is required to 10X advisory services in the UAE, led by a CX lens and facilitated by AI and technology.


 


This role will be accountable for the UAE advisory strategy, business development, advisory team management, as well as delivering technical solutions for advisory services, to deliver excellent service to the customer, strong financial returns, service improvements and business growth for the UAE.


 


The ideal candidate should be a creative thinker, excellent people leadership skills, good communication, excellent organisation, time management and prioritizing skills. 


This role is part of our advisory team and will be based in our corporate office in Dubai.


 


Key Accountabilities



  • 10X the advisory business in the UAE

  • This role is responsible for leading the Advisory function within Serco UAE, including developing the strategy, aligned to the SME strategy, solution development, business development and marketing and branding and deployment of resources (people, technical, financial and physical) to deliver contracts and projects

  • The role is responsible for staff management and development and managing the services within the agreed budget

  • Accountable for and providing technical solutions across the advisory and consultancy services business

  • Manages day to day relationships with customers across contract/s to resolve issues and problems.


Strategy and Plans



  • To develop, agree and manage a robust strategy and annual plans for the contract/s to meet the contractual requirements and business targets

  • To contribute towards developing the SME strategy

  • To conduct regular reviews of plans, monitoring and taking action to ensure business targets are met, including submitting accurate and timely reports


Growth and Financials



  • To ensure a business development strategy is in place, to deliver the contract/s growth aspirations in line with the commitment; including ad-hoc additional challenges

  • To ensure effective financial management is in place to achieve turnover, profit and cash targets, and to meet corporate and legal requirements

  • Support the organic growth of the business by providing expertise and leadership to rebids in own area.


Customers and Markets



  • To represent Serco when meeting with the customers, stakeholders and the public in order to enhance reputation and foster a partnership approach to relationships

  • To lead customer service excellence and a continuous improvement culture, so that the business remains at the leading edge of service delivery and value

  • To develop an excellent relationship with the contract/s customer/s, to anticipate future needs and continue to deliver growth and margin for Serco; and value for money for the customer.


Organisation and People



  • Building and sustaining a team according to business need

  • Building capability within the team and professional development

  • Staff management for all team members, either directly or indirectly through managing other people managers.


 


Specific Requirements



  • Ideally a degree or extensive proven experience in relevant management, business administration or related discipline

  • Minimum of 20 years experience at a senior management level in advisory, including at least 5years experience in a GCC regional Head of Advisory role

  • Must have their own network of relationships and clients aligned with our services

  • Excellent financial, commercial, business development and HR acumen to support the improvement of business performance

  • Experience in leading people to deliver large, complex and high value client projects. Delivering these to quality, time and budget

  • Proven ability to set, monitor and achieve dynamic safety objectives

  • Preferably with international experience, some years in the Middle East particularly in the UAE is an advantage

  • Must be a respected leader and creative thinker, able to work closely and in partnership with both Serco and the client’s senior management to help ensure the future development and mutual success of both organisations

  • Excellent people leadership skills. Must be a skilled in communicating, cross cultural management, organisational culture development and motivating staff

  • Ability to liaise in a professional and persuasive manner with staff and customer at all levels in the organisation
